T O P I C R E V I E WandstuffThe other day a friend of mine said exactly the following: "When we were dating, it was awfully romantic, he'd lavish flowers all over me"I didn't say anything but was like REALLY? How are flowers romantic? Flowers are cheesy if anything! So I thought why not create a thread in which we could discuss what we find romantic and how it might correlate with placements that we have? Starting with myself: Venus in Aqua conj Mars in Pisces and trine Pluto, Moon conj NN in Taurus, Psyche in Pisces. And my idea of romantic is most prob a long ride on the Pacific Coast Highway, I couldn't think of anything more romantic than this or anything more moving than oceans (pisces, let's assume). So, what are yours? Let's have Fun!!hikorofeed me.be tactilebe artistic...write me poetry, a story, paint something...i like creative-handmade giftstake me to the museum, to an exposition...take me to a foreign food restaurant...i like to learn about cultures, countries...music, indie live....small local bands...let's travel, to the beach....i love the water. let's talk about philosophy! analyze....have a nice debate on social issues, surrealism...simone de beauvoir, and then.....give me lots of horizontal dance...not always horizontal, all positions. be creative! *snickers*i think it is the taurus moon, and the scorpio stellium...as to the adventurous side..that sounds a lot like a sagg, it could be my 8th house in saggie or the two planets in saggie (uranus, saturn)and then, the intellectual interest. i have mars and mc in aqua..that is all. i do have eros in aqua too, psyche in virgo.calliope23I'm relatively new to this, so I'm not totally sure on what aspects to look at other than those of my Venus. I have Venus in Scorpio conjunct Pluto (Scorpio also), and trine Mars, Jupiter, and ASC (Pisces). I tend to think lighthearted/silly things and a warm, genuine approach in showing love is extremely romantic because is displays a level of true comfort with the other and no fear of being judged for who you truly are...but my Venus-Pluto in Scorpio also adds a certain level of heaviness or a need for deeper sentiment to also play a role in romantic gestures (maybe that's simply where a deep level of comfort and security comes in?). My perfection of romance would be getting an unexpected gift, something that would be significant to me/the relationship, but a trifle or impractical to anyone on the outside....I've always wanted someone to name a star after me. Something like leaving me sticky notes in unanticipated places with things you like about me, but that no one else would notice right away or necessarily consider the most attractive thing, would be super cute. I guess romance for me involves showing me a cognizant admission of our intimacy, but that manifests in a way that is still fun and playful (no deep, dank love poems or superficial gestures like flowers...but unconventional little oddities )hikoroi also have venus conjunct pluto in scorpio...and i agree with you.those tiny surprises are the best.like, although i like creativity, i prefer it is a surprise.i dont do well with the guy who does what all of the other guys are doing.as in, 'it is a special day so....let me get her flowers'i want him to be unique and to surprise me. as to the emotional depth. i think this is something that will not happen in my lifetime.i also have moon opposite pluto and sun...so, i think that for folks that are too scorpionic and plutonic, to find someone who can 'merge' and give you that 'transcendental and deep' ecstasy...is impossible. KeroseneI had someone who grew me flowers, I thought that so sweet..Yes I can see how buying flowers at the grocery can be kind of well easy.. I still like anything lolI think the most romantic thing I ever received was a letter and the person who wrote and was roleplaying like a 17th century romance... It was really funny and cute at the same time, like mocking valentines day hahaI have Venus in Gemini, I think letter are so romantic. If someone can make me laugh thats a huge turn.I'm so cappySpaceflight.Venus in Aquarius ------------------Do you have some chocolate?calliope23 quote:Originally posted by hikoro:as to the emotional depth. i think this is something that will not happen in my lifetime.i also have moon opposite pluto and sun...so, i think that for folks that are too scorpionic and plutonic, to find someone who can 'merge' and give you that 'transcendental and deep' ecstasy...is impossible. Oh man, I have moon opposite sun too, so I have that whole struggle between what I want and what I need going on. Maybe it's the blindly optimistic Sag in me (my sun is in Sag), but I feel like I am destined to find that "transcendental and deep" connection with another person someday. What can be somewhat disheartening to me is the whole what I "want" vs. what I "need" thing--that maybe down the line I am going to have to settle for simply a marriage of the minds (marriage, in this sense, referring more to connection than the actual institution) rather than the totality of a marriage of the minds and of the hearts situation. I refuse to believe that I can't have it all though, haha.edit: That refusal probably comes from my eros in Pisces and psyche in Virgo :-Pail221Venus in Gemini 2nd houseMars and Eros in Taurus 12th, Psyche in Taurus 1st HouseFlowers are pretty but I wouldn't consider them romantic unless it was my favorite flower that I mentioned once and never again yet they remembered it. hikoro quote:Originally posted by calliope23: Oh man, I have moon opposite sun too, so I have that whole struggle between what I want and what I need going on. I haven't dated anyone since I've become interested in all of this, and unfortunately I'm not on good enough terms with those I've dated in the past to ask for their birth times, but it's provocative regardless.hikoro quote:Originally posted by calliope23: I haven't seen this thread, but I will search for it. I just taught myself about composite charts, and the one person in my life I am most protective of and who I have ever truly felt myself and totally comfortable around has been my sister. Surprise, surprise: We have a Sun-Mars-Mercury stellium, all of which are opposite Venus (the sun opposing Venus being the same as conjunct according to RAS's Google search..but I think the fact that the stellium opposes Venus is also incredibly telling and somewhat eerie!). I think there is definitely something to this combination and the sort of relationship it produces! I have yet to find anyone else significant in my life with a Sun-Venus-Mercury aspect, so unfortunately I can only attest to my relationship with my sister (although both my last boyfriends and I had sun-mercury conjunct). I wonder if having Mars thrown into the stellium also makes the relationship as deep as it is between us in some way? Obviously there is nothing weirdly sexual going on between us, but I think it could be interpreted as a motivation/drive/similar passions characteristic adding harmony and understanding to our relationship...it seems like Mars in the composite mix would also be beneficial for a romantic relationship for, err...exactly the aspect I don't share with my sister haha. So cool, thanks so much for pointing this out to me! hikoroyou should post that info on that thread.it is a great thread to add comments on the stellium theory, and RAS is always looking for new observations and connections. peregrine quote:Originally posted by Lonake:Flowers are pretty to look at.
